Paris

As a Christmas present to my mum, my sister and I brought her tickets to Paris! So on Friday off we went on the Eurostar to Paris for 2 days. It was 2 days filled with lots and lots of walking. I haven't walked that much in years, haha. As well as the walking, we also did a lot of shopping and eating. I went to a few vintage shops recommended by a friend and was pleasantly shocked at how cheap everything was. I now have an overload of polka dotted items (one of the shirts I brought I'm wearing above). So expect a lot more posts filled with polka dots! Though we went to some other stores, such as Etam, Stradivarious and Eleven Paris. Eleven Paris was an amazing little shop, the clothes were gorgeously simple and I wish I hadn't spent most of my money in other shops, as I found such a lovely shirt I wanted there in such a lovely shade of green.

The first place we went to after we got off the Eurostar was Sacre Couer, which was amazing. You had to walk up a bazillion steps and then you were greeted by the sight of a beautiful church. The most rewarding part of visiting there was the view. It was gorgeous, you could see across most of the city. Also we went inside the church and there were nuns singing and they had the prettiest of voices!

The next day we went to this lovely cafe called Cafe de Flore, which was so so lovely. I had the best hot chocolate I ever had there, and some really yummy French onion soup. This was the best place we went to eat, it was so busy and bursting with people.

One of my favourite things about the city was the graffiti and posters that were placed everywhere. Whilst
shopping we came across a Mario on one wall and a really cool horror style poster that was peeling off on another. Though my favourite one was definitely the wall with "regarde le ciel" sprayed on it.

Sorry about the amount of photos, I took a lot!

Blue Velvet

Velvet is one of my most favourite of materials. Its always so soft and warm. This dress was given to me by my mum for Christmas, and has become one of my favourite dresses. The poofy shoulders on them just make me love it even more. I can't resist anything with big shoulders. I've also got a Zatchel recently, I wasn't really into getting a cambridge type satchel but couldn't resist this one. It's polka dotted!!
Hope everyone had a lovely Valentine's Day, even if you don't agree with it! Despite the fact that I do love anything romantic, this year me and the bf decided not to doing anything. Though he got me some heart shaped chocolates and I got him some heart shaped Krispy Kremes. Haha. I actually brought a dozen and now I don't think my body can take any more sugar.  But it was totally worth it :D My friend, Charlie, took a lovely photo of me, of what I was wearing on Valentine's Day:

Also I now have a facebook page for the blog which you can find here or click the facebook box in the sidebar!

Feathers and Jeans

Right now my internet keeps disconnecting, which in truth is driving me crazy. How in this day and age can the internet keep disconnecting? Apparently it should just stay connected on Tuesday. TUESDAY!! But for now it seems to be working, yayayayayayayay.
It still is ridiculously cold and the snow continues to persist with its presence. This calls for wearing jeans. For me this is an evolutionary stage in my style haha. Also, I think this is a first on my blog. I'm actually wearing a proper pair of jeans. I've always avoided jeans as I convinced myself that jeans just couldn't work on my body shape, I'm too bottom heavy. But I surprised, well more shocked, myself by actually trying on a pair of jeans and liking it. Since the start of the year my jean collection has grown from having 1 pair to now having 5!  What do you think? Do you think I should do more jean wearing posts?

Black and White

Right now, everything outside is covered in snow! I love how pretty snow looks, but am so glad that I can enjoy it from the other side of the window with a nice cup of green tea.
This is an outfit I wore to work the other day. I'm not really a trousers or jeans sort of girl but lately that's been changing somewhat. The other day I even bought a pair of black skinny jeans!! I've always envied those who could wear trousers/jeans and wear them so effortlessly. Whenever I seemed to try some on, I ended up looking short and stocky. Not really the look anyone tries to go for. But then I found these gorgeous trousers in Topshop and I fell in love. For me they are the perfect cut, not too long in length and cinches at the waist! Also I've been meaning to show off my hat and hand warmer set on the blog for a while, I wear them quite a lot so it seems silly that it had taken so long to make its way onto the blog.

I've nearly got 300 followers! Which is crazy, I'm so grateful that so many of you like my blog enough to follow it. I'm thinking of doing a giveaway soon, and have something lovely in mind to say thank you to all my readers.

Mickey

I feel as though I haven't worn a tutu in ages, so decided to whip out my newest one! I got it in the New Year sales, and was soooo cheap haha. I can't resist a bargain. Also another thing I got in the sales are the Jeffrey Campbell Tardy Boots. These are some of the most comfiest shoes I've ever worn and make me feel so tall. Also it helps me close the gap between me and my bf (he's 6ft 4). Actually everything I'm wearing, apart from the bodysuit, was brought in the sales. What can I say...I'm cheap :D

I've added some things to my ebay shop, which you can find here! I'll be adding one or two extra items tomorrow as well :)

Something of note, Lydia of and this is peak., wrote a really interesting post on 'What it means to be a girl?' and how we dress affects this. She used me as one of her examples and said some very lovely things. But I really loved how she opened up on the subject and feel like this should be more of a common talking point.   You can go read it here
