Comfortable

This past week I've been feeling a bit ill. Ick. Ick. Icky. Most of me being ill comprised of me having a runny nose that will make a child's one look weak and a fever. Getting constantly hot and cold is one of the most annoying things ever, especially when you have to go to work. So this is where this outfit came from. Apparently it is full of contradictions. Wearing a crop top with a hat. Ha! I had to compromise, the crop top so I could cool down if I needed to and the leather jacket to keep me warm when I got cold again. I love this crop top, I wear it way too much! If I'm not wearing it on its own, its probably underneath what I'm wearing. I think I may have to get another one. 

The jeans I bought a while ago and have only worn a handful of times. As you know I'm not really a jeans girl. But I needed to wear something comfortable and warm and these were it. Plus I love the colour and the fact that they're high waisted. I went on a whole search to find the perfect pair last year and these were the closest I could find to what I envisioned in my head. I kinda want to rip them up a bit though, but don't know whether I will actually man up and do it. 

My hellbounds have been shipped and I'm so excited. I'm probably going to scream for an hour when they get here and they won't leave my feet for a month, at least. Ever since they've been ordered, all I can think about is what I'm going to wear them with. JSHDNJDFBDJGBJEBWJIWQD I'm going to have so much fun when they finally arrive!

Black as night

It's weird wearing this much black, as you can probably tell, I don't do it all that often. But there are those days where I just want to wear nearly head to toe black. Recently I've been having a few of these days. The weather can have a huge influence on what I feel like wearing and lately the weather has been rather bi polar. One minute it'll be really sunny and lovely, the next completely gray and pouring down. I hate indecisive weather, its so annoying! 

I have new shoes!! I'm awful, really awful. I don't need new shoes, but I can't help myself. These are one of the few pairs of shoes I have that aren't black. Though they do come in black, I stopped myself. I always get black shoes, its time to break that habit. Sorta. Haha, I say this whilst lusting over the black Unif Hellbounds, which will shortly be mine.....I hope! 

Jewellery has become my new obsession. It's never really interested me before, sure its pretty, but I've always nearly end up breaking them or losing them. But I've kinda fallen in love all over again. I really, really love my new necklaces! I will show you them properly real soon.

A Good Friday!

On Good Friday, it was the birthday of two of my sisters. They have the fortune or misfortune (depending on their mood) of being born on the same day but four years apart! Being the oldest of many siblings, is like being an extra parent, I can't believe how fast they have grown up. The years seem to be whizzing by! Happy Birthday Joyce and Zoe!!! To celebrate we went shopping, ate at Wahaca and for Joyce, since she is now 18, went for a drink. 

It's weird not doing a full outfit post on here, I don't think I've done only partial outfit shots in a looooooooong while. You can't see it too well, but I'm wearing my new dress from The Scarlet Room. I'm so happy with this dress, so much so that when I have more money, I'm going to get it in grey. The feather headpiece I'm wearing is actually a necklace, that I wore in a post a few posts back. When I first saw it, I actually believed it to be a head piece rather than a necklace. Ha! I'm so glad that it functions as both!

Bad Moon Rising

The title for the blog post is the name of the dress I'm wearing above. I generally don't follow high end designers as who am I kidding, I am never going to be able to afford their clothes and what's the point at looking at clothes I'm never going to get a chance to wear. I ain't no foo. Most of the time they just don't interest me. Don't get me wrong, there are items that I like by certain designers, but I've never looked at a whole collection and thought I need it ALL! But brands like Evil Twin and MinkPink and UNIF get my heart racing! I'm always in love/need of nearly everything they bring out. So you can imagine my absolute glee at finding this dress on sale! Ok, when I say find, I mean I patiently waiing until the day it went on sale and then brought it the first chance I got. 

Lately the little parts of my outfits are taking more time to pick out than the main parts. For instance, instead of finding things to work around a certain dress or pair of shorts, I'm thinking of the best way in which I can wear a pair of socks. Haha. I love socks, for me they are a vital part of an outfit, especially if they're on show. I've always wanted a pair of little girl lace socks, and now I finally have the perfect pair! They're white and have polka dots on them , I don't know why I'm describing them to you when you can see them. But I like talking about socks. You should see my sock box!
