Striped Culottes

Striped culottes - definitely something I never thought I would type on here or anywhere. These culottes are something I knew I really wanted but also something that stumped me a little. I am unfortunately not blessed with long/lean legs so culottes would normally be my worst nightmare. Somehow these look a huge amount better on than I was expecting and despite my boyfriend's claims that they are clown pants - I love them. Not only are they super comfy but they feel fun to wear. 

Clothes, for me, should be an extension of who you are and how you feel. How I dress is affected by my mood. It is even better when what I wear has an affect on me! I think sometimes people forget that getting dressed in the morning isn't something that is meant to be a chore (unless you have a uniform - in which case, totally a bore.) Too often I hear "I can't wear that" or "that wouldn't suit me" when I know that's exactly what they want to wear. It is crazy to think in this modern age where we have so much freedom that we put these limitations upon ourselves in these small ways.

My little advice for the day is never be afraid to dress how you want to dress - at the end of the day you're going to have to wear something, make it something that brings a little joy into your life!
