My Little Box Christmas Edition

I've been toying with the idea of subscribing to My Little Box for a little while now. It was only when I saw My Little Cosy Box - which I'm still a little upset at missing -that I knew I had too. I'm so glad I did :) The box is full of little treasures and delights. Here's my review of the box.

Box - My first impression was that the box itself was so cute. Love the polka dots and the illustration. The box also isn't as bulky as I thought it was going to be - which is definitely a plus, I'm a hoarder.

Inside the box - Everything was packed so well together and tied off with an adorable ribbon. I loved how the beauty bits was placed in a cloth drawstring bag - and the bag itself is so pretty too. You can tell that a lot of work went into presenting every little thing inside the box. I could drool over all the packaging for hours and then tell you about it but I won't.

Magazine & Illustration - I found the magazine to be even more cuter in person, full of lots of cute DIYs and great interviews. I especially loved the emphasis on using bloggers to create content. The Make My Lemonade feature was too pretty and introduced me to a blogger I hadn't yet come across, along with the cover girl herself, Fleur De Force. The illustration is gorgeous and the quote so lovely - Christmas is one of my favourite times of the year and totally agree with it being a feeling.

Beauty Bits - The bag the beauty bits came in is the best. I think I'm just as enamored with the bag as I am with the products inside. Having looked at past boxes I was so excited to finally get my hands on a piece of the Mylittlebox's own makeup line - the lipstick is just adorable. Whilst it isn't the size of a normal full size lipstick, it definitely isn't a mini version either. I was a bit dubious when I first saw it as the colour looked so vivid but I'm happy to say that it comes on a lot more subtler. I don't own a shade like it so is a welcome addition to my make up bag.
The Cowshed Invigorating Body Lotion smells so good. I haven't been feeling all too well lately and putting that on after a bath really was soothing. It has such a lovely strong scent, I really love the smell of ginger and this lotion uses the perfect amount. It isn't a full size version but like the lipstick I don't think it's a mini version either. It measures at 100ml - which I think is a great size, big enough to definitely get a good enough idea of the product but small enough to make you buy it if you did like it!
The L'Occitane Precious Cream is such a lovely cream. I've only tried it once, yesterday, and my skin already feels so much softer. It doesn't really have much of a smell to it and is a really firm cream - which I really like! I'll try and do an update on it when I have used it for longer. It already has made such a good first impression.

Stationary Bits - I love cute stationary, but who doesn't? I wasn't really too sure of it at first, thinking that it'll just sit in the box and look cute. However, a bag of unwrapped presents sitting in the corner of my room changed my mind. Wrapping them up using the ridiculously cute string, tape and tags actually made me excited to wrap them up. I'm not even joking, I can't wait to finish all my Christmas shopping so I can use them even more.

Overall Impression - The box is even better in person than what I was expecting. I've looked at so many different "beauty" boxes over the years but they all seemed lacking. This one definitely lived up to its reputation. It isn't too expensive either, £14.95 including P&P, which I think is definitely worth the price. Overall, I was completely impressed and excited by the box. I can't wait until next month where I'll open a new box of little treasures. Hopefully the novelty won't have worn off either. I'll be even more impressed if it excites me each month!

This type of blog post is new on my blog, I haven't really reviewed anything or moved anywhere outside of outfits and clothes. I really enjoyed writing it but it is more important to me that you enjoyed reading it as much as I did creating it. Did you enjoy it? Is it something you would like to see more of? For too long my blog has stuck to one thing and I think now is the time to show my other interests in life. I would love to hear any feedback you might have or recommendations for upcoming posts :)
